Terms & Conditions
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) outline the conditions governing your access to and use of Scannerd, including its website, mobile and desktop applications, customer support, and interactive services (collectively, the “Services”). By installing or using Scannerd, you agree to comply with these Terms.
Use of Services and Software
Scannerd provides scanning, document management, and related features (the “Software”). By using the Software, you confirm that you are of legal age to enter into this agreement or have obtained parental or guardian consent. If you have entered into a separate agreement with Scannerd regarding specific services, that agreement shall prevail in case of conflict with these Terms.
License Grant
By downloading or using the Scannerd application, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, and non-transferable licence to install and operate the software on your personal devices, including tablets, and smartphones. It is your responsibility to ensure your device meets the necessary system requirements for optimal performance.
Scannerd does not collect, store, or share personal data beyond what is essential for functionality. Any scanned documents remain on your device unless you choose to share them. We do not track or store user activity.
Third-party services integrated within the app may have separate policies, and users are encouraged to review them. By using Scannerd, you agree to comply with these terms. Any misuse, modification, or unauthorised distribution of the software is strictly prohibited. These terms may be updated periodically, and continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
Account Registration and Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to create an individual account. Schools and educational institutions may provide access to younger users through an enterprise account under specific terms. Account security is your responsibility, and you must not share your login credentials with others.
Sensitive Information Policy
Scannerd is committed to safeguarding user privacy and security. Users must not upload, share, or store any sensitive personal information through the app, except where explicitly permitted by Scannerd or required for the app’s core functionality. Sensitive personal information includes, but is not limited to, financial details, medical records, biometric data, information related to an individual’s sexual behaviour or orientation, and personal data of minors as protected under applicable child data protection laws.
Scannerd does not collect, process, or store such sensitive information and disclaims any liability arising from the unauthorised submission of such data. Additionally, users must refrain from transmitting such information to Scannerd or any third-party service providers associated with the app. By using Scannerd, users acknowledge their responsibility to comply with this policy and agree not to misuse the platform in ways that compromise privacy or violate applicable regulations.
Third Party Services and Software
Scannerd may provide access to third-party software, services, plug-ins, or extensions for user convenience. These third-party offerings are independent of Scannerd and are not considered part of its core services or software. Your use of such third-party services is solely at your discretion and subject to their respective terms. Scannerd holds no responsibility for their performance, security, or compliance. Any agreements or transactions made with third parties are between you and the provider, and Scannerd assumes no liability for any issues arising from their use. Users are advised to review the terms and policies of third-party providers before engaging with their services.
Sharing Your Content
Scannerd allows you to share your content with others, whether by uploading, posting, transmitting, or making it publicly accessible. When you share content, other users may view, copy, modify, or redistribute it in various ways. Please be mindful of what you share, as you are solely responsible for your content and its distribution.
You have control over the access levels of your content. It is your responsibility to set and manage these permissions accordingly. If no access level is selected, the system may apply the default, which could allow broader sharing. Scannerd does not monitor or regulate how others use shared content, so ensure that you clearly communicate any restrictions to those who access your content. By using Scannerd’s sharing features, you acknowledge the potential for your content to be used beyond your control. It is advisable to review privacy settings before making any content available to others.
Account Security and Access
As a Scannerd user, you are solely responsible for all actions taken through your account, whether performed by you or others, with or without your knowledge. Account credentials must remain confidential and should not be shared, except with authorised administrators where applicable. Unauthorised access or use of another person’s account is strictly prohibited. Scannerd reserves the right to monitor usage and enforce any applicable limitations on subscription plans, including the right to charge for exceeding allocated limits.
It is your responsibility to safeguard your account by implementing appropriate security measures, such as multi-factor authentication. Scannerd may require additional verification methods, such as an alternative email or phone number, to enhance security. The company holds no liability for losses resulting from compromised credentials or failure to act on security notifications. Keeping your contact details up to date is essential to ensure access to important alerts. If you are unable to access your account due to incorrect login details, Scannerd assumes no responsibility for any resulting inconveniences or losses. Always verify communications claiming to be from Scannerd to protect against fraudulent activity.
Subscription and Payment
By using Scannerd, you authorise us and our trusted payment providers to securely store your payment details and process transactions for your subscriptions. To ensure uninterrupted access to our services, we may update your payment information through your card provider’s supported programmes. If any payments are due, you allow us or our authorised vendors to charge your account using the latest available details. By continuing to use Scannerd, you acknowledge and agree to these payment terms. If Scannerd offers paid services, subscription terms and cancellation policies will be outlined separately. If you subscribe through a third-party platform, their terms may apply in addition to these Terms.
Privacy and Data Protection
Scannerd collects and processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Your data may be used to enhance user experience, improve services, and comply with legal obligations. We do not share personal data with third parties without consent, except as required by law. For details on how Scannerd collects, uses, shares, and processes your information and app usage, please review our Privacy Policy (add the Privacy Policy Page Link). It explains how we handle your data to provide and improve our services. By using Scannerd, you agree to our data practices as outlined in the policy.
User Responsibilities
You agree to use the Services lawfully and not to engage in activities such as distributing harmful software, infringing on intellectual property, or violating privacy rights.
Modifications and Termination
You may cancel your subscription and discontinue the use of Scannerd at any time. However, cancelling your subscription does not exempt you from settling any outstanding fees, including early termination charges where applicable. Upon cancellation, access to your stored content may be revoked, and it is your responsibility to secure any necessary data before terminating your account.
Scannerd reserves the right to suspend or terminate your access to the service if you violate any terms, fail to make required payments, engage in harassment or abuse towards our team, submit persistent unreasonable complaints, or remain inactive on a free account for an extended period. Additionally, termination may occur if legal or operational challenges arise, making it unfeasible to continue service provision. Scannerd reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Services after changes constitute acceptance of the revised Terms. We may suspend or terminate accounts found in violation of these Terms. We may update the Terms of Service for Scannerd periodically, covering anything from minor corrections to significant policy revisions. If any major changes occur, we will notify you accordingly. These updates will not affect any disputes that arose before the revised Terms were published or took effect. To stay informed, we encourage you to review the Terms regularly. Continued use of Scannerd after updates indicates acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must discontinue using the app and, if applicable, cancel your subscription.
